While the Web and file transfer protocols are mature, standards and security requirements are still evolving. Keeping Rumpus up to date with modern best practices is ongoing, and support and maintenance continues after your server is set up as well. For this reason, Rumpus FTP is licensed as a monthly or annual subscription for both past and new Rumpus users.

Users who originally purchased Rumpus 9 or earlier can purchase an upgrade by clicking the "Subscribe" button above. Subscribers receive a version 11 serial number, access to all future updates, and continuing technical support. If you have questions, contact "support@maxum.com" and include your original Rumpus serial number for details.
To meet the needs of smaller sites as well as large installations and ISPs, Rumpus is offered in both Standard and Professional subscriptions. The Standard license supports up to 32 simultaneous users and 32 user accounts defined in Rumpus' built-in user management function. For larger sites and ISPs, Rumpus Pro supports up to 256 simultaneous connections, with unlimited user accounts and external authentication.
